We are one of 42 Nashville nonprofit organizations to receive the first round of the Excellence in Volunteer Engagement (EVE) certification. EVE was developed last year by the Mayor’s Office, in partnership with Hands On Nashville and the Center for Nonprofit Management, to recognize high-quality volunteer management by nonprofits and to help increase the number of volunteers in Davidson County. It is the first such certification effort in the nation.
For 10 years, Ten Thousand Villages of Nashville has relied on the generosity and commitment of volunteers. From working sales associate shifts, serving on the Board of Directors, and unpacking shipments, our volunteers are a VITAL PART of the store’s success.

Second Monday Book Club
Gather with us on Monday, May 14 from 6:15 – 7:15, when we will discuss The Eaves of Heaven: A Life in Three Wars by Andrew X. Pham. Told in dazzling chapters that alternate between events in the past and those closer to the present, The Eaves of Heaven brilliantly re-creates the trials of everyday life in Vietnam as endured by one man, from the fall of Hanoi and the collapse of French colonialism to the frenzied evacuation of Saigon. May Third Sunday Partner
Join us Sunday, May 20, as we welcome CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) as our nonprofit partner. CASA volunteers are trained community volunteers appointed by a judge to speak for abused and neglected children in court. CASA's goal is to expedite the process through which these children are found permanent, safe homes. We will be open from 12:00 – 5:00 and will donate a portion of the day’s sales to support CASA Nashville.
